I use this as a computer monitor - purchased from Amazon for $249. The picture is sharp and crisp with absolutely no ghosting while watching sports or while gaming on the computer. Subsequently, I bought two more of these when COSTCO dropped the price to $199 with a rebate: one to use with a PS3 and one as a dining room TV. For both additional purposes, the product is excellent. Different mediums require the user to tweak the picture settings. For example, while using as a monitor, I use lean back mode of viewing. While using as a TV, I use the stand-up mode. The settings take time to learn, but are relatively easy if you read the other great reviews posted before I wrote this.
No dead pixels in all three sets. No light bleed for a LED-LCD TV. Viewing at different angles is not the easiest (see number two below).
For all mediums, I recommend you turn OFF the energy saver. It simply makes the picture dim and dull. For the PC monitor, the HDMI cable does not yield the best picture quality. Rather, the VGA cables work better because, as one other reviewer notes, HDMI was never made to connect a PC to a monitor.
The ONLY small concerns I have are:
1) It's difficult to fit a cable into the back of the TV due to cramped space in the plastic backing. It's workable, but takes a little arm grease. I felt like I was going to break the back of the set at times when trying to screw-in the cable, but eventually got the cable to fit without breaking the plastic TV backing.
2) The set does NOT swivel when affixed to the stand. It's fixed in the stand with screws. You can't adjust/tilt the screen to match your viewing angle. Not an issue if you mount this on a wall. The TV is stable when affixed to the stand and does not topple over easy like other makes such as Sony.
3) The speaker sound is not great, but I don't expect home theater quality speakers in a thin television. I use one of these with a ZVOX 220 and the sound is more than adequate. After owing three of these sets for a few months, I cannot recommend this product more highly if you have secondary uses such as dining rooms, kitchens, guest bedrooms or as a PC monitor.
Update - 3/11/2012: The price is now $179 on Amazon. For this price, I highly recommend the TV.
